Scrimmage Pinnies/Vests
Scrimmage vests, also called bibs or pinnies, are also another must-have in your soccer coaching equipment bag.
If you are curious, the word "pinny" is a British word short for "pinafore," a term that originally meant "an apron or sleeveless garment."
Scrimmage vests, also called bibs or pinnies, are also another must-have in your soccer coaching equipment bag.
To make your soccer training sessions run as smoothly as possible for you and your players, you both need to identify teams clearly. Wearing a pinnie or scrimmage vest is the best way to do it.
I have two colors of at least six pinnies in each color. Some drills and exercises call for more than two teams and having multiple colors solve for this.
Pinnies come in youth and adult sizes, so make sure you buy the appropriate size. When coaching under 6, the adult sized bibs will fall off of them.
Some soccer pinnies are numbered and be be used as alternate jerseys in case of color conflicts. These numbered shirts can also be used in soccer games such as the number game.
